The constituency, which is in Western province, Busia District covers a Geographical area 673.6 Square Kilometres.

Population,
The last census was carried out in 1999 and the results released was a total population of 243,249

Further projections made in June 2006 indicated a population of 287,592

1992 General Elections
During the last General elections, Nambale constituency had a total of 55,526 registered voters. The voting results were as follows;
